Persona

Medico's product discovery is driven by user interviews, shaping personas around medication adherence after doctor visits. These insights uncover challenges and needs, informing features that provide timely reminders and ease of use. By prioritizing real experiences, the product provides solutions that help patients stay consistent with their treatment.

Pain points

After conducting user interviews about the challenges of managing medications after a doctor’s visit, common issues such as forgetting to take medications and difficulty managing multiple prescriptions were identified.

These insights were summarized to gain a deeper understanding of user pain points and guide the development of solutions for a more efficient medication management experience.

Medication adherence

Patients experience difficulty adhering to their medication schedules due to their demanding lifestyles. Missed doses often occur due to distractions from work, family responsibilities, or other urgent priorities, highlighting a need for more structured and reliable systems.

Difficulty managing multiple medications

Tracking multiple medications, each with varying schedules and dosages, causes confusion and missed doses. Without a centralized, automated system, individuals rely on alarms or manual tracking, which can be ineffective and prone to mistakes.

Lack of effective medication management tools

Current tools like alarms or pill organizers are often insufficient, leading to forgetfulness or inconsistent adherence. There is a clear need for an integrated system, such as apps, that offer automated reminders and centralized medication information for better tracking and management.

Impact of interruptions and external distractions

Interruptions during busy workdays or urgent calls lead to missed doses, emphasizing the importance of medication management solutions that can overcome these distractions. Automation and integration with daily routines could ensure medication adherence, even when external factors interfere.

Walk with Walking Aid

Need for reminders beyond physical tools

Patients struggle with medication adherence due to distractions and busy routines, highlighting the need for automated reminders or apps to ensure consistency in taking medications.

Complexity of multiple medications

Managing multiple medications with varying schedules is overwhelming for many, creating a cognitive load. A more structured, automated system could alleviate confusion and improve adherence.

Lack of integrated medication management systems

The absence of a unified tool to track medications, manage appointments, and access comprehensive medication information increases stress and inefficiency, especially for individuals with busy lives or those living abroad.

Need for seamless integration into daily routines

To improve adherence, medication management tools must seamlessly integrate into users’ existing routines. Simple, user-centric apps that send automatic reminders and sync with calendars could significantly reduce missed doses and enhance consistency.
